Default Savage drawings

Does any one have drawings for a Savage centre engine smokebox and organ engine bracket, preferably a 5 1/2?

The folks at Kings Lynn whilst friendly don't seem to know what they've got any more...

Simon.

Hello, KL Museum did have registers of all Savage drawings including the cabinet draw number where they were stored. I have copies of the lists relating to steam tractors/Little Samson. They also had detailed lists of patterns and again I have a copy relating to Little Samson. Some while ago I tried to borrow a couple of patterns from the museum. As you found, the staff were very friendly but had no idea as to what they had in store. I had to send them a copy of the list of patterns and subsequently was told that most were stored on stillages at high level and staff were not allowed to retrieve them!
Cheers, Paul

A good chunk of Savage drawings are now with the National Fairground Archive in Sheffield.

They had a large number, and Fairground Heritage Trust donated all that we had last year or the year before. I am not sure if they will have catalogued them yet. They were mostly Fairground but all a bit mixed up.

Doug Roseman (models) has a good knowledge of what exists if you can get hold of him

I tried to get some drawings and access to patterns for an electric light engine a few years ago and got nowhere with them at KL.
