Marshall 10t Slide Valve Roller 1923 For Sale.
New to Devon and Cornwall Steam Rolling Company, who were subsequently bought out by R Dingle where she worked until 1959. 4 owners in preservation, but had been out of use since 1990. Recent work has been carried out including further replacement stays and she’s now in hydraulic test. It should be noted she’s on the original barrel and box and therefore will require boiler work in the future but is certainly sound for the next few years.

The tender has been removed and been totally refurbished, new lower 6”, new floor, access plate, coal divide and now being blasted, primed and tank specialist coated.

Canopy is removed, but easily bolted back on but it does require repair. Brass work all polished, sundry items largely blasted and primed.

She now requires refitting of tender, pipe work refitting, glands and packing replacing, calibration of pressure gauge and will be ready for steam test.

Included with the sale is the original handbooks, build sheets (copies), canvas sheets (recent) The original brass plate was bought separately from the last Dingles sale and available at cost to buyer if wanted. The scarifier is with it, an original Marshall rear roll is now fitted as opposed to the A&P one shown in some photos.

The engine is located Chacewater, Truro and available to view by serious purchasers. Looking for offers late £30’s as is and want a straightforward sale.
