It was a lovely day on Saturday, so it was decided to take Marshall Class 'S' no. 77973 'Aurora' to the pub for lunch.
A brief stop on a convenient sugar beet loading pad.
A picturesque spot near Shotesham All Saints.
Diamond Cottage, Shotesham All Saints, the address given by Ronald Clark at the end of the Prefaces/Forewords to his various books. The place has been done up somewhat since Ronald's day, but the diamond pattern in the roof tiles is still there.
Lunch time.
Going home the pretty way - 1
Going home the pretty way - 2.
On Sunday Aurora had to be taken to her winter home, about 18 miles away. That's when the fun started.
Rain - sleet - snow.
Starting to settle.
Have you driven an engine in the snow?
Turning to rain again by the time we got to a convenient pub.
But still passers by wanted to pose with the engine - as seen from the warm, dry bar.
The rest of the way was just wet.
A trip to remember!
Bill.
