My father bought this living van in 1970 from Tilbury Plant Hire of Twyford Berkshire when it was being used for a building labourer to live in at the side of the road in Bracknell. It was possibly built by John Atlean & Sons of Wokingham in the 1920's. The wheels are reputedly from a London bus from the 1800's.
Was used with a Clayton roller in the early 80's and used for shows in the Wokingham area.
It underwent restoration in 1980 and has been painted several times since. It would now benefit from another re-paint with some odd bits of wood being replaced, but the main structure is solid and the underside is good. It's had very little use and been used for storage for the last couple of decades. The stove needs some attention before being used. The window on the off-side is not meant to open, whilst the nearside double window has one half which slides open.
13'8" long without the rear hitch, 7'2" wide.
