Default Part built 2" Fowler Showmans

I had the good fortune to buy a part built Fowler on Ebay last year, however I have bitten off far more than I can chew. So is anyone interested in buying it from me?

Pictures are available from me, the current state of the engine is: -

All 4 wheels are complete and painted, the front axle is assembled onto the smokebox and chimney is attached. The boiler has been assembled and pressure tested. Cylinder block is machined but NOT attached to the boiler. Temporary horn plates are fitted. The bunker has been assembled.

Numerous partially or badly machined castings for the various shafts are present and the flywheel is both machined and painted.

None of the shafting, gearing or drive axle has been made.

Plastow drawings are available from me.

I'm told that the boiler is worth about £500 as scrap!

I'm open to offers and the engine can be viewed in Birmingham by arrangement.

I might consider an exchange for a small rail loco in 2.5" or 3.5" gauge.

I might consider breaking the engine ino component parts, you could save a lot of time on building your own by buying in my bits.
