A few, probably to many I took at end of Sunday when I arrived, as usual late.

We were refugees from the WESES show but so glad we didn't miss this one..what a lovely show and weather held out for us too.Great to have the freedom to drive around.Thanks to Michael for letting us come along at such short notice.

Here's a few pics.
Nice little Aveling & Porter 8 tonner. These always look 'right' to me. Q class Marshall 73040. I wanted to take this one home Steve Paxton's 3 speed compound, 55676? Again, very nice engine. After growing up near to Lillywhite's and hearing the legend of these engines it was a real pleasure to see them up close and especially see the 'Q' in steam. Well done guys |

I went down mainly to see the Lillywhite engines and it was well worth it.
Lovely setting for a rally, great for pictures, shame the sun went in as soon as I arrived. Not sure I have ever seen one engine lift another, see attached picture! Lots more pictures on SS soon, hopefully before GDSF.
