For Sale is our 6" Clayton Undertype Steam Wagon

We have owned the wagon since Feb 2011, l have a video taken when l test drove it before purchase on my u-tube channel see - http://youtu.be/4OctIVwyNJU. Then it was running at 120psi the safety valves are now set at 220 psi so goes even better!

Boiler built by Valentines in 1993 Hydraulic test pressure 375 psi for 250 psi safe working pressure. Wagon built same year.

Retubed in 2009
Hydraulic test to 2019 ( 10 year exam )
Steam test to 30/9/2013 but will have new 14 month steam test when sold.
New injector for 220psi working fitted by myself

Engine has dog clutch fitted so it can tick over and use the water pump when stationary.
Engine runs well in forward and reverse and can be notched up when on the move.

Vulcanised Solid Tyres. Stainless Rear Water Tank, Stainless Chimney, Stainless Ashpan.

Wagon finished as a brewery dray, l have added 3 Oak Barrels (removable) for extra water capacity and Hogs Back Brewery logos on the cab to enhance the look.

Front fire-hole for lighting up and top fire-shute for firing on the move.

We have only used it a few times as l tend to take out my 6inch McLaren but now need the space as my 6inch McLaren Showman's is nearing completion. We took it the wagon special at Old Warden last year and it performed well on both the rallyfield and roadways.
