Thank you for your help, our wheels have plain hub caps and three rivets per spoke instead of two. I do not know if Wallis made the wheels or bought them in. If they were bought in maybe another maker also used them on there wagon. The front axle on ours has a hole down through the middle for the pin to go through, unusual for a wagon. Unfortunitly the woodwork got burnt before I heard about them. If the wagon owner would mind getting in touch, it would be interesting to get some more details.

First of all a big thanks to Clare and Robert for a great weekend.
Good choice of coal, by sunday my bald patch could hardly be seen! The Wallis wagon has the makers name on the hub caps. If you would like I can take some photos and send them on if you let me know what it is you require. Regards Vince. |

A Great day at a super rally. Good to catch up with friends. My thanks to Rob and Clare Bullen for inviting me!
A great selection of exhibits in all sections. The last time I visited was about 20 years ago when the late Gerry Burr asked me if I would stand in for him doing the commentary on the Sunday. The show has certainly grown since then! On that occasion I camped on the only free spot on the circuit area - only to find at 4am on the Sunday morning why I was the only one there - I was opposite the Pheasant and Poultry Club's marquee!!!
