Default Box to fit Artic unit

I have bought an ERF B series and want to make a 'living box' to attach to the back off the 5th wheel turning it then into a ballast tractor. Im after a fibre glass/ steel box i can make into a hybernation pit for rallys.

Any find would be brilliant.

Thanks Jamie

How about a telephone engineers pod off their service van chassis , or a an ambulance body . You will need a lot of weight and ballast , or the ride will be dreadful . You will be tight for space .

I looked on ebay a while back for such things.
What caught my attention was item # 251192096842.
It would be ideal to convert one of these to living accomodation.

If you can find one of the fibreglass boxes of a BT van they are ace.

If you get an unmolested one they come with gas fittings and a cooker on a workbench.

I looked at sitting one on the 4 wheel trailer I have for accomodation for me and father in the event Mrs and Miss Jones do not attend a show. In the end nothing came of it. I would have put a tarp over it to make it look like a load.

The downside is that they have a luton style bit to go over the cab of the pick up they are usually fitted to (Transit), and they are quite long.

Trystan, does your father still sleep in the older Sherpa Van style BT body on the lorry?
