6” Burrell GMT castings and boiler

I have for sale a full set of parts and a new, unused boiler for a 6” GMT, to Edward George’s excellent design, now available from Adrian Nutting.

A change of circumstances means that the parts that I had collected for a 6” GMT must now be sold.

All parts are there including all castings (ferrous and non-ferrous), chimney, spun chimney cap, horn plates, tender sides, draw straps, water tank pressed ends, wheel rims and spokes, spectacle plates, front and rear springs, finished steering gears, finished water pump gears, finished diff gears, safety valve spring etc. – basically it’s all there ready for you to start machining.

There is also a Bob Bramson premier style injector with test paperwork. The boiler is brand new and was built by Tony Baldwin (AJB) and has all paperwork, steel certs and test certificate.

A full set of drawings is included, and also a signed copy of Trevor Smallbone’s excellent book of GMT photos for reference through the build.

This will make a spectacular model and will be a great start to anyone looking to build this engine as casting and boiler prices continue to rise.

I’m looking for offers around £15,000, a decent saving on the current cost of these parts.
