There's a fair few in a field, not so many in a playground. Problem is, the reason they're there is because they're not for sale, people have already tried.

Try Preston Services or someone similar and keep an eye out in the magazines.

Have you dealt with said gentleman then?. He can only ever sell something for the price which someone is prepared to pay.

Michael List Brain is a dealer yes, but he is also very professional to deal with and a true gentleman. At the end of the day if you don't like his prices, service or products then feel free to shop elswhere, but don't make flippant remarks without justifying what you mean. This makes my blood boil. I probably would have pm'd this message to sparky1962 but his name and identity is hidden.

I totally agree.
Preston Service and Michael are both helpful and extremely welcoming, I have a lot of respect for the guy.
He has managed to get engines from places that others have said are impossible and aided/continues to aid the preservation movement by turning up oddities.
He is a lucky fella who has managed to get himself into the position where he understands and pushes the market where he can. A very professional and respectful businessman.

Regards
Ian Vinton

Shoot your mouth off somewhere else! There's too much of this going on.

People are hellish brave behind a computer screen, especially when no one can find out their name!

Comments like this are not what our HOBBY (usually means people get along and help eachother out, not stab eachother in the back at every turn) needs!

Sparky,

As with any dealer, as long as you go in there knowing that they are a dealer and take off your rose tinted specs, you are ok.

I bought and sold through him. I would do so again if he had something I wanted.

I would add that following my last encounter, I would of course take my own advice and be cautious and ensure I had every detail tied down in writing.

I might be advising slightly differently had I not been tied down last time.

Cheers

Tony
