Trevithick Day 2011
Here are some pictures I took over the weekend at Trevithick Day - thank you to the organisers and engine owners for such a fabulous event.
First engine into the town at not much past 7am was Clayton & Shuttleworth 48279, Phoenix: McLaren Ploughing Engine 1552, Hero makes it's way through the traffic calming bollards into Camborne: The line up of engine was led by the widest one, McLaren 897 Colossus: An engine that has a new owner and plenty of work over the winter is Burrell Roller 3986: Another ex-Dingles engine is Marshall Roller 88096: First appearance at a rally since the 1960's is Ruston Proctor 48359: Burrell Showman's Engine 3159, Gladiator: Fowler Ploughing Engine 15163: Mr Wakeham expertly points McLaren 897 during the afternoon run: Another roller which has not been on the scene for a number of years, Aveling & Porter 10350: Rear shot of Ruston Proctor 48359: Recently sold to a new owner in Cornwall Marshall Traction Engine 76751: Traveling past the Trevithick memorial is Wallis and Steevens 7247 Gromit: McLaren Road Loco 1181 King Harry during the afternoon run: Robey Tandem Roller 42129: This picture gives you some idea of conditions on Sunday! Later in the day some of the engines assembled at King Edward Mine for their open day, here Aveling & Porter Roller 9128: An engine that has had extensive recent work is Fowler 17481: I will put the full set on Steam Scene soon.
