Default The Tom Barlow Boxing Day Run

The road run between three pubs begins at the Jolly Thresher on Higher Lane at Broomedge in Lymm Cheshire. Exhibits include steam engines, tractors and commercials.

At 12pm ISH the exhibits trundle a whole quarter of a mile to The Wheatsheaf Inn and then after a stop there, on to the Ye Olde Number Three.

Only four full size steam engines made it last year but hopefully there will be more this year.

Pictures of previous 'runs' can be found on www.lancashiretec.co.uk.

Sam.

Hi

Well I go there, and saw a few engines, met a friend there with one of his classic cars, saw Mr Dakin and his Paxman engine, but wasn't really sure who the other engines belonged too.

Good day out though!

Cheers

Dave

Wallis and Stevens No.2394 of 1897 belongs to Nick Parker and lives at our yard.

I wonder what the proper tractor could be?

Will put some pics on under the show reports section in due course.

Sam.

Hi

I would have said hello to some of you, but I am allways the same, find it very hard to reconise people of the forum.

Thanks for the run down of the engines.

Cheers

Dave

Hi

I think I did see you a few times, then, but find it hard to just come and say hi, starting conversations was never my strong point! hehe

Nice engine by the way, what is the history of it, and how long have you had it?

Cheers

Dave
