Seb, the Garrett roller is indeed a convertible, number 28371 of 1910, more photos below. Cheers, Josh. |

Any info on the Foden in picture 8? Is it a new build type replica?

Thecornishsteamenthusiast: the Garrett roller definitely appeared to be a convertible. I'm afraid I didn't record any engine numbers.
Aveling8727: I didn't see anyone to talk to about the Foden. It certainly looked a bit unusual to me. Can anyone on here shed any light on it? You both make me realise I should have spent more time talking to people. Nearly all the Dutch speak good conversational English. Technical topics can be more interesting. Only two years till the next time. Bill. |

I first saw it two years ago at Mr Woltman's home when it was just a frame and boiler. I foolishly promised him a cake if he ever finished it. It is still work in progress and he plans to change some parts. Hedd is correct that the block and some motion work was outsourced. |

Dordt-In-Stoom is an excellent event, for us as simple punters it beats Dorset hands down.
I'll post some pics when I have sorted them out. We also went to visit the windmills at Kinderdijk, visited Eindhoven where I worked with DAF for a time and toured Delft and Scheveningen by the sea. All in all a great week. |
