Default Images from "Bonfire"

The weather held up for this informal gathering of some of the finest steam men from Shropshire with an influx of foreigners from afar afield as Cheshire and beyond. The run to the pub was most enjoyable. Not to mention the shed full of cakes and other goodies. It was good to see the young ones taking a bit of an interest in the working of engines. The final image has Basil Jnr in the yard showing two young lads where the coal and tools are stored on an engine.

This is true, I was a passenger in the back of the black Sentinel at the time and have photographic evidence of the deed which I will post when I have downloaded it and worked out how to post photos on TT.

Thanks must go to all concerned for one of the most enjoyable events this year. David's excellent pictures pretty well cover it, but here are a few more.

Next time I see Bill I'm going to give him one of my old coats, I've never seen him wear one yet!
