Default GDSF Early report...

Went to the Great Dorset on opening day, only chance we had. The weather varied from wet and windy to overcast turning to thoroughly wet later. Hopefully it will improve as promised for the main weekend, however, the black skies provided a good backdrop for pictures.

Mayhem in the playpen...

A bit more weight needing hauling...

As expected, the show was massive, plenty of trade stands, loads of food and drink fun for all the family!

Dave

Just got back, literally, don't know why my computer was on!

Damp start with some very slippy mud, generally weather was good, but a patchy sky. Playpen was out of action in the morning (I'd guess because of ground conditions) but in the afternoon it was opened. By then the ground had dried out considerably, i could actually walk without slipping all the time! Good display, shame that they didn't go up the big hill.

No works number given.

A second mystery is the "Swiss Roll"

Program lists it as Works No 5995, but it carries this plate

Now Works No 4932 Is listed in the TER as 1901 with an FX registration number. What is going on here?

Had a good day yesterday, much like Thursday I guess, as no movement before lunchtime, but plenty after it. Good to see some Irish and Scottish engines I'd not seen before.
