Default Carrington's 50th!

Well what can I say! Bloody fantastic weekend! 3 days of sun! Makes a change from the weather we normally have or have had in previous years!! Think we got about half a dozen spots of rain on the monday n thats about it!

We started off by taking the opportunity as it was the 50th to return Ruston & Hornsby 115100 to the place where she ended working life and entered preservation. Being just up the road from the field at New Bollingbroke at Eptons yard. There we were joined by Jack Epton's litte Foster tractor 14639 along with Ingalll's Ruston, Proctor 35501. There we took some photos of the engines down in the yard and then proceeded by road up to field.

Was a good selection of engines there again this year with Robert Crawford's Stump Puller making the trip up to the rally field, sadly out of steam, but still what a machine! And Ward's brought their Marshall Roller 79597 which apparently was the first time in 30 years.

Certainly was a good year this year! Photos to follow soon (left camera in caravan.... DOH!)

I totally agree , this was my first visit to Carrington and I had a great Sunday .
The Fowler stump puller was a surprise and seeing Fowler 15462 was nice .
A very high percentage of the steam on show was new to me some nice rollers on show , Brown & May tractor , a good selection of agricultural type engines also.

Brilliant Weather, for me the highlight of the show was the little Tuxford Portable an engine I would gladly take off the owners hand if ever they decide to sell.

I don't think you have a chance, it is great to drive last year we had it on a small drum worked well.
