Hayling Railway Models Day

Well what a pleasant surpries this was!

We took the gallopers and the 3" aggie as we had been invited by Josh, the organiser, to the model railway event. It was fabulous!! Sun, sea and steam - what more could you want!
We were well looked after with endless tea an coffee, coal and meal vouchers were provided too.
We actualy built the gallopers nearly on the beach which was great an we had Trixter in steam too. Sadly we were the only thing in steam. There were about a dozen o and oo gauge railway layouts in the shed and the East Hayling Light Railway was running all day - free rides for exhibitors.

Next year they want to have a model steam event sometime in April for road and rail steam and I really want to drum up some support for these guys. They're struggling to keep the railway open, its all volunteer run an I think they're great. Its mostly run by a group of super-entusiastic lads!!

I'll keep you posted on what events they're running an maybe some miniatures will tag along!
