Single to three phase converter , 3+ hp .

have you tried running it on your 2 hp, chances are it will work, I made a 5 hp rotary years ago, run 10hp motor on it, it starts a little weak but when it gets to speed its fine

Thanks , but my 2 hp converter ( static ) will not start a 2.1/2 hp motor . Having wasted time looking for a 2hp motor and being messed about , I have now ordered a 3 hp converter with speed control . At present stuck in Parcelforce 24 , who have not been seen since the first snow fell !

sorry, I figured you had a rotary, they are prety easy to build, I have a Tos lathe that the motor runs continiously, I rigged a start circuit to run on single phase, once running it drops the single phase and runs fine, it is 5hp so now it acts like a rotary phase converter, runs the shop fine, the mill and lathe will run fine at the same time, rotary are prety easy to build, if one uses a large enough motor with lots of iron its hard to overload it
