Default Drawings required

A long shot I reckon but I wonder if anyone has a copy of the drawings for the 1 1/2 scale Burrell single crank compound Devonshire GP traction engine by A J Every which were published in the 1930's/40's please. Either to borrow or purchase.

Fingers crossed.

Robert

I have a set of castings and drawings etc for that engine, and have done some preliminary drawing work on it.
I dont know if you are aware but if you build the boiler to the original drawings it will more than likely not pass a modern boiler test as the design is not relevant any more.

I have done a bit of work to redesign the boiler and based the design principles on the one used on the 1½ scale Allchin Royal Chester, that should be OK as most club boiler inspectors are familiar with the design and should have no problems passing it.
Mine will be a long term project that will not even start for a few years the way other projects are going.

Hi Phil,
Thank you for taking the time to reply. The reason for my request is that a part completed engine has been acquired with many parts fully machined. There are three boilers with the parts, one is a riveted version, presumably of the old type to which you refer, and one a silver soldered version of a newer design. The third is another silver soldered version which is not finished.

In actual fact it is unlikley the finished engine will be steamed but put on static display.
