Spent some time at this event on Saturday, which was based in a small car park with 6 engines in attendance along with a few other exhibits. I was pleasantly surprised by how much the burning of smokeless fuel improved the atmosphere compared with similar coal fired gatherings I have been to. Trailer rides up and down the main street were very popular with the public. Photographing the engines was almost impossible due to the spectators but I did manage to capture Ruston 8hp "Tulip Queen" towing one of the trailers loaded with happy riders. It was good to attend a new event, parts of the North have seen a decline in numbers of a variety of types of show in recent years. Hopefully the weekend was a success and will be repeated next year.
