Sorry to hear of the cancellation of the November rally. My brother and I attended the 1972 November summer Festival, we were driving lorry’s interstate from Perth to Melbourne and were able to make a slight detour for the weekend.
It was a great weekend and one I have never forgotten it was the first and only time I have seen a Foden single cylinder traction engine ( no 2262 of 1908 ) it was also the first time I saw a Kelly traction engine ( no 2061 of 1906 . The first time I had a ride in a Stanley steam car. The range of portable engines was fantastic both in makes and size and quality of restoration.
I remember the Clayton wagon lying all in bits, and small portable lying beside it. I could go on and on , we were made very welcome and a memory I Hope I will never forget.
