Default Bressingham Miniature Steam August 2021

The Bressingham "Do" was the biggest steam event I've been to since - you know when. There was a full house of 40 miniatures plus a couple of visiting 12 ins to the foot engines. Pictures carefully selected on the basis of which came out best, so not comprehensive coverage.

There was quite a yard full.

Here's a 12 ins and a 6 ins Garrett tractor, plus the smallest engine on show - a 'Minnie'. (Which takes the most skill to drive?)

Some were pulling quite a load for their size.

A fine Burrell road loco with traction trailer.

This ploughing engine was a less usual, but marvellous, model. It is passing the visiting Fowell of the EATES chairman.

The Fowler again.

With a fellow Fowler.

Two McLaren road locos.

Three Fodens.

Burell road loco 'Percy-Vere'.

One of the McLarens again, showing its wagon.

A Garrett on a saw bench, nice to see an engine working.

A small Marshall. Doesn't seem long since this would have been a really big model.

Different scales, different models - of the prototype - but both Fodens.

Ready to parade.

Apprentice steersman.

This engine paraded backwards. Well it makes a change!

While some chose to walk.

Burrell road loco again.

Another, regularly seen, Foden.

Three generations on this lovely Burrell outfit.

Nice to see the next generation of enginemen in action.

Tight squeeze to get them all into the ring.

Thank you to everyone concerned. It was a great day out.
Bill.
