Default On the road with Horsa

It must have been the hottest day of the year so far, but it was the most convenient for Horsa (1918 Fowler BB1 no. 15211) to amble through Norfolk towards the Weeting Rally the following weekend.

Coupling up.

Welcome shade.

Time for a chat.

Crossing Goose Common.

Note the new tyres.

"Hengist and Horsa are Germanic brothers said to have led the Angles, Saxons and Jutes in their invasion of Britain in the 5th century." The brothers are still together, but Hengist is not on the road at present.

By the 20th century they had got as far as Gloucestershire.

The pub at last.

Next stop Weeting.

Sorry I couldn't go all the way and hope it's not so hot at Weeting.
Bill.
