The rear axle is 48mm dia round bar. This is fixed to the chassis by a pair of cast iron a-brackets.

The fronts axle is a pair of stub axles let into a wooden axle under the turntable.

At least that is how my Eddison van is constructed.

The cast wheels we have with a 25mm rubber tyre which just takes out the shock of modern road surfaces on a cast wheel rim. Works well and look better than LR wheels and tyres.
