Just in case anyone was planning on visiting this event this weekend i thought i should let you know the below statement from the official website:
IMPORTANT STATEMENT FROM THE COMMITTEE
BELPER STEAM & VINTAGE EVENT
Saturday 7th & Sunday 8th June 2008
CANCELLED
It is with deep regret that the Committee of the Belper Steam & Vintage Event have to
announce that the rally which was scheduled to take place on Saturday 7th June and Sunday 8th June 2008
has been cancelled due to an unforeseen legal technicality which is beyond the control of the
Belper Steam & Vintage Society and the Local Authorities.
Once again we deeply apologise for the short notice of the cancellation, and whilst we
have endeavoured to contact all exhibitors to the event, if there is anyone who we have missed
please accept our sincere apologies, likewise, if you know of anyone who was thinking of attending the
show can you please pass on the notice of cancellation to them.
May we take this opportunity of thanking everyone who we have contacted to date for their support and best wishes.
Please note that all 2008 exhibitors will automatically receive their applications forms for the 2009 event.
