Singelton Steam Festvial
I saw quite a few TT's there today ! The weather stayed dry throughout the day, but the overnight rain cause some nice demonstration's and a bit of fun. Nice selection of engines from the rally scene. The President looked fabulous, it was the first time i saw it and my god what a good job they did on it. It was nice to see the comparison between The Great North and The President when they were parked side by side. All on all i wonderful show, which was packed with lots of people and some reasonable weather for once. The Ex Lillywhite collection was there, first time with them all together, Pictures to follow

I popped in on Saturday, nice little do and good to see folk after quite a while.
The President sure is a nice bit of kit, and that Q class Marshall is a VERY nice machine, I am more than slightly envious! |
We were refugees from the WESES show but so glad we didn't miss this one..what a lovely show and weather held out for us too.Great to have the freedom to drive around. Thanks to Michael for letting us come along at such short notice.

Again, very nice engine. http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/d...k/P8160073.jpg http://i222.photobucket.com/albums/d...k/P8160074.jpg After growing up near to Lillywhite's and hearing the legend of these engines it was a real pleasure to see them up close and especially see the 'Q' in steam. Well done guys thumbsup |

I went down mainly to see the Lillywhite engines and it was well worth it.
Lovely setting for a rally, great for pictures, shame the sun went in as soon as I arrived. Not sure I have ever seen one engine lift another, see attached picture! Lots more pictures on SS soon, hopefully before GDSF. |
