What an absolutely immaculate looking pair of ploughing engines. I guess they are K7's.

Yes , Sam , and from your part of the world - ex Jacksons of Wistaston . This pair worked until the early '70's on dredging . 1882's father drove one of them on its last job , or was at least roped up to it with a BB .

It's a fantastic event, engine movement all day in the playpen, free trailer rides, nice grounds, working showman's engines - the list goes on. I'll be going back again next year for sure.

Yes the dates are a bit of a problem to local supporters, as I pointed out previously. I can't see that the date change will make all that much difference to the attendance but thats up to the organisers.
We will have to try and fit around the dates, but it's going to make things difficult thats for sure.
