Hi Roger,

When did you pop in? As I was there with a 4CD Garrett Tractor over the weekend, but didn't see you.

Cheers

Dan

P.S Thanks for the photos.

We spent the day there on Monday and had a good time.

It's always fun wondering the stalls, although there do seem less than a few years back.

Huge number of minatures there and it's always great to see a saw bench running from an engine, Volunteer (?). Threshing machines are a testament to ingenuity and great to see that running with a stationery engine.

Having watched the tractors parade into the arena, I joked to my wife that they need to rename it 'Rugwick Tractor & Country Fair'.

Like the photo's, the Burrell, William the Second (?) is a beautiful engine, I was lucky enough to see her in full flight down the A3 at the Sewards run.

Doh
That's a shame. I called in Saturday probably around 5, was that you trundling around the car park? If so you may have spotted the lorry and trailer leaving, cant miss it really bright red fg with black spots towing a long grey trailer. Caused a bit of a stir when I arrived as I think the stewards assumed it was an exhibit,I think the lorry is as old as some of the exhibits. Thanks to the guy on the gate who directed my three point turn! :o
Ah well next time, are you doing anything around the brick works or anything through September.
Cheers Rog

Here some photos i took yesterday (Monday), Slightly less engines then last year but some nice ones with my particular favorite engine the Foden timber tractor being there. Waited after the show to get some pics of the engine leaving and got a few with only two leaving without low loaders.

Blast!

I did notice the lorry in question, but never guessed that it was you. And yes it was me wandering around the car park. I was giving rides round for the Scouts, as they where looking after us over the weekend.

I shall be about for the open day at the brickworks in September, hopefully see you then.

All the best

Oh, well I was there all weekend.

But then I was doing most of the work with Malcolm, getting ready to load the engine up in the evening.

Leaving Mr Maggs in charge!! ;)

I would have said hello if I had seen you, may see you at a open day?

Cheers
