1954 Scammell Explorer, 10 litre Meadows diesel.

In full working order, happy to set off pretty much anywhere in it. The brakes would benefit from some attention for towing but work well enough on its own. It has a Boughton ground anchor fitted to the rear, both winches working well with good cables. The rear body sides have been changed for steel ones which look okay but could do with some proper hinges making up.

Both sumps off recently, all oil pipes and both filter housings, all properly cleaned and replaced with properly made gaskets, nuts washers etc.....
Overhauled the throttle body and air filter, all now fitting and working correctly. At the same time had all the injectors reconditioned, not just removed, wire brushed and refitted. Fully reconned at Jon Pick diesels in Boston, pressures and spray pattern now as they should be.
The bodywork and paint...... Mmmmmm..... Some patches have been put on the cab, some filler, and some green paint on top. In short , it's the right shape and it mostly keep the weather off!
Oh and finally it had a new set of battery's just over a year ago.
