Hollycombe Festival of Steam

I braved a trip around the M25 on Sunday to Liphook for the Hollycombe Festival of Steam. The day was most enjoyable with great weather and a fine selection of Traction, Portable and Fairground Engines. The Highlight for me was Roger Luck's display of early and rare Portable Engines. It is such a shame that we do not see more portables on the rally field.

Makers and works numbers can be found by clicking on the Picture album tab Hollycombe 2023. I hope you enjoy even those that are the wrong way round. I still have not fathomed how to change the view when creating the album.

Hollycombe looks hugely improved since my last visit. Thanks for the pictures.

It was a excellent weekend, well actually was a 3 day event from Friday to Sunday, Hollycombe has put in piles of work making loads of improvements. I was there from Thursday and the weather was stunning the whole time.
From 10yrs ago when I first went there when it looked like it was the place engines went to die :( its now a vibrant hive of activity with lots of areas being worked on.
Some of the big rides are still being restored but what has been done has been done to very good standard from what I could see.

Shame theres no pictures of the 25 or so miniatures that were there.
