Thurlow rally

The Thurlow Steam And Country Show is taking place on the Horseheath Racecourse, between Cambridge and Haverhill, on August 7th & 8th. If you haven't been before it's well worth a visit (mind you I'm biased!)

If i can get all the papers together and my steam test passed, i may be able to make this my first rally as an exhibitor:):)

Its pushing things a bit, but who knows.

If not then i'll still visit;)

Just driven past on the way to a supplier meeting looks like several came over on Sunday after we had finished pegging the engine line.

Yep Horsheath is in cambridgeshire hope you have a good run over. If you drop through Culford and then Horringer you can avoid BurySt Edmunds I think from memory its 37 miles we used to go that way with the engine.

Lancashire Lad 4th August 2010 10:45 PM

Have a good weekend Mr P!

Notsur Rotcorp 5th August 2010 04:03 PM

Cheers

Beer Tent has arrived, and is licensed!

Comeonoldgirl 5th August 2010 09:26 PM

22 miles to do from Acton to Horseheath tomorrow - at 2.5mph it'll be a long day. Better than being at work though.

Happy steaming. :-)

I'm going to stop writing my planned trips on here. Everytime I mention it the old girl decides to show her age and be troublesome.
First a cracked regulator rod then a dodgy flywheel. A slow trip became a lot slower.

Having said that we had a fantastic rally. Thanks to all involved. Great as usual. And the engine repair side show went down well too. Never seen and spoken to so many people in one day.

UJ2225 9th August 2010 09:50 PM

Glad you got the flywheel problem sorted out and steamed out last night.

Well done mate.
