Aveling & Porter steam supply cock control rods for injectors
 

Earlier Aveling engines take the injector steam supply from cocks mounted on the top of the boiler barrel. They are controlled by rods reaching over the firebox to the footplate, with levers to actuate the cocks. I have two rods, complete with brass handles, approx length 3 ft. These are available to an Aveling owner who is restoring an engine and is looking for originality - it should be possible to lengthen the rods.
