Somerset Traction Engine Club Taunton New Year Road Run

The Somerset Traction Engine Club's New Year's Day Road Run is on for 2009. Following the closure of Taunton Market last year there were rumours that the event would not continue. However, the Club committee has always maintained that it would make every effort to find a new start/finish point.
We are delighted to announce that the 2009 event is on, and will start and end at the new Sedgemoor Auction Centre, at Huntworth, near to Junction 24 of the M5.
There is easy access to A38, no shortage of parking space and refreshments will be available. There will be two routes for differing speeds of vehicle, the longer of which will go into Taunton. Participants can gather and book in from 9.30am. Entry is free, but donations to a charity collection in aid of Brainwave, an organisation helping children with disabilities will be much appreciated.

Further details: email: somersetsteam@live.co.uk, or tel: 01761 470867 or 07941 398432.

Wish I could John I thoroughly enjoyed last year, but a few million gallons of water stand in the way now.
