3" Little Samson steam tractor for sale

Hi all,

in order to supplement my 6" engine build, I am offering up my 3" steam tractor for sale.

Here he is, with permission of his wife, Sheila, the engine is named "Fred" after the late Fred Dibnah of whom I was a great fan.

Here are some details...

Never been rallied,
Fits in a regular hatchback car,
Mint condition,
Only steamed about 10 times,
Comes with driving trolley (needs seat padding doing)
Injector and feedpump work well,
Has full makers boiler certificate and CE papers / badge,
Has been hydro tested by me,
Steam tested by me,
BUT no official boiler test cert has been arranged yet (see below) as the engine is in new condition, i would presume this to be an easy task.
Is the subject of the two books "A Dream Comes True" and is a fully documented build,
Capable of insanely slow tickover speeds:D
Has been dry-stored since last run,
Can be seen running for serious enquirers.

When i started the 3" engine i was presuming that it would be my only engine, but near the end of the build i got sucked into a 6" build :D and the 3" was sidelined once completed. In order for me to get it tested, i would have to use my 6" build funds to get a tow-bar fitted on the car and get a trailer as i only have a saloon car. This would reduce my minimal funding for the bigger project. The lack of a test cert is reflected in the price, which is negotiable, I'll even throw in half a bag of coal;)

Therefore I am looking to pass on my Little Samson to a caring new owner who will see it gets to be rallied and enjoyed as it deserves to be.

Price is £3200 but as mentioned, negotiable.

Thanks

Dave Kearley
