Wow, what a selection of engines. I'd love to go over one day. Thanks for posting.

It's well worth the trip David if you ever get the opportunity, everyone is very friendly and can't do enough for you.

One engine that was in the rally programme but did not appear was Fowler SRL No. 14869, 'The Quiet Man' but I have a photo from a friend taken at Shane's Castle a few weeks ago - a fine looking job, shame I didn't get to see it up close

Great stuff Richard. Thanks for posting these.

I would just like to thank The Irish Steam Engine Owners Association and everyone involved in Stradbally for inviting us over. The crac and the hospitality was second to none. I would also like to thank the Celtic Steamers and all of the Glynn family, especially my old pal Wobbly legs....aka Governor. The road run from Carlow on Saturday was fantastic even if raining. I just need to rest for a couple of weeks now, ready for Dorset.

The Ransomes with the canopy - (sign written 'Billy Mason Tralee') - either it's a trick of the camera or it looks to be oddly proportioned. Is it a 5nhp or a 6nhp?

I was looking out for you Craig on Sunday morning but Royal Sovereign was always unattended
I take it you were 'resting' after a good night of Irish hospitality!

The Ransomes is described in the programme as a 9 ton engine built in 1901, no. 13865

Unfortunately I seem to be allergic to mornings Richard, especially when I am over the water. It would of been nice to meet up with you. Come over and say hello at Dorset if your there, best try in the afternoon though.

LOL - enjoy the cider!
