Tried to get into Netley with the Aveling a few years back, they didn't want to know! What is that all about then??

The Gaffer said F**K 'em so that's the end of that. Shame, I liked it as a visitor.

Charlie.

I would like to attend with my roller, I did go last year as a stop gap for someone that had to drop out. But would very much like to attend in my own right.

True, true, I cannot deny the truth, but I seem to remember you ate from the same bottle of ugly pills I did.

keepoffthegrass 15th May 2008 08:52 PM

i tried this year aswell but was told it was full up wit there regulars. im not sure the public will want to see the same thing every year.

Light Weight Super 18th May 2008 03:18 PM

If i remember the telephone conversation correctly, it was explained to you that the weather was so bad in 2007 and all our steam exhibitors waived their appearance money, i felt it only fair that these were the exhibitors that had the first opportunity to attend in 2008, i personally would not call this clicky but, fair........as it is only my second year in this position, i personally would like to see other engines there for the publics interest and hope in future years that is something we will be able to do

regards Rob Rymer

It's most certainly not a clicky rally. I went for the first time last year since I was about 12 years old. I just asked nicely and was given an entry form......amazing how far you get when you're not rude to people!
