Beamish - Powers From The Past

Here are some shots from Beamish , a place I have not visited before but wish that I had .
Great place , takes you back to a far gone time and the weather was perfect , a nice suprise was seeing " The President " roading around .

Not been to Beamish for many a year. Looks like a lot of improvements since last visit. Nice to see their engines out. I must get up north again soon.

Looks like you caught us when the roadmaking gang were having lunch! It was a grand do, engines all doing what they were meant to and hopefully the portent of things to come at Beamish.

I hope to return in September for the Great North Steam Fair it really is a fantastic venue for vintage vehicles , all that's missing is a canal or river running through the setting.
Does anyone have any idea how many steam exhibits are expected ?

More than this last event, people are asking to attend.

The winters can be long in this old country of ours.
Plus photography turned into a side interest through getting into the wonderful world of steam & vintage vehicles .
